SUMMARY
Provides safe and efficient transportation to guests around property. Assists in providing room service deliveries among other deliveries. Facilitates through check in and check out service to guests. Provides guests with comprehensive resort information.

Duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Warmly greets and thanks each guest.
Checks guests into rooms and provides them with all information needed.
Carries luggage.
Delivers room service.
Opens the lobby door for guests.
Provides room tours to prospective clients and guests.
Provides exceptional guest service at all times.
Must be very friendly, positive, and professional.
Must have exceptional Sundance knowledge and ability to effectively communicate to staff and guests.
Must possess exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
Must have a valid drivers license in good standing based on the requirements of the Sundance’s Insurance Policy.
Must be able to multi-task and effectively work in a fast pace or leisure working environment.
Assists other departments as needed with transporting goods on and sometimes off property.
Cleans the inside and outside of Sundance-issued vehicles
Keeps the bell stand area neat and tidy

Be an ambassador of Sundance inside and outside of work.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
Support and participate in environmental programs associated with position: minimizing waste, recycling, energy conservation, purchase and use of sustainable products, education on environmental ethic, support vendors with similar ethic, decrease pollution levels, minimize the use of toxic chemicals, restore wild life habitats.


DRESS CODE
Sundance recognizes the impact that our image has on the guest’s impression of the resort and the perception of our ability to provide professional service to our clientele. In order to best promote a positive, professional image that meets Sundance guest’s expectations, employees are required to dress in a professional, conservative fashion that is appropriate for their area. Please use the following as a minimum standard:

All aspects of the Personal Appearance policy (SPL#50) must be in compliance.
Bell Staff are required to wear nametags at all times while on duty.
The Bell Staff uniform consists of:
Sundance- issued shirt
Name tag
Sundance issued winter coat or vest.
Belt
Khaki or black pants, shorts or skirt (preferred).
Other colors may be worn but MUST be approved IN ADVANCE by manger.

Clothing must be unwrinkled and clean, and in good condition (no rips, tears, or frays regardless of whether accidental or fashionably placed).
Blue jeans are NOT permitted.
Men’s shirts must be tucked in – no exceptions.
Appropriate skirt/shorts length is from the knee to the ankle.
A tailored fit is required of all clothing. Clothes that are too baggy or tight are not permitted.
Outer layers such as hoodies, jackets or sweaters are not permitted while on duty at the front desk. If an additional layer of clothing is needed for warmth while on duty, it must either be Sundance issued or it must be warn underneath the uniform and not visible (except in the collar area)
Hats may be warn, but must be PRE-APPROVED by manager and only allowed in the wintertime.
Bare midriffs are prohibited.
Proper footwear for your department is required.
Flip flops and sport sandals (tevas/chacos,etc) are prohibited in all areas.
Tennis shoes are permitted, but must be in good repair and not too flashy.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Good customer service skills, professional appearance, clean driving record and the ability to lift and carry heavy boxes and bags over 50 pounds or more.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer proficiency and resort experience preferred.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Ability to operate 2-way radio for communication with staff. Some computer experience helpful.

CERTIFICATIONS
Must have a current valid U.S. driver's license with fewer than two moving violations within the last two years and/or in good standing based on the requirements of the Sundance’s Insurance Policy.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
The incumbent must posses the ability to speak and read English fluently. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and distance vision.
